Hello! My name is Charity Sutherland and I am a licensed Associate Counselor (LAC) in the state of Arizona under the supervision of Cassidi Beckstein (LPC). I received my bachelors in Social Work in 2020 and recently graduated with my master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling.

I love working with young adults who are wanting to gain a better understanding of who they are as a person while also striving to improve their overall well-being. I find my passion in helping them feel whole and regain their joy in life.

It can be terrifying to take the first step in seeking help to strengthen your mental health. Consequently, I take extra steps to ensure that the environment is welcoming, relaxing, and safe for everyone. I take pride in being authentic with each of my clients while being empathetic to their individual experiences. Others have described my counseling style as relaxed, inviting, supportive, collaborative, and personal, with hints of humor throughout. I often take a center-person approach while utilizing cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) methods. I also make it a priority to create individual treatment plans that are tailored for each client’s specific needs.

My mission is to help change the world for each one of my clients, through kindness, love, and compassion. As Paul Spear once said, “As one person I cannot change the world, but I can change the world for one person.”
