Hello! My name is Kaitlyn Ligas and I am an intern working under the supervision of Giuliana Santaferra, LCSW and  Cassidi Beckstein, LPC. I am also a student at Northern Arizona University pursuing my master’s degree in clinical mental health counseling. I received my bachelor’s degree in psychology from Barrett at Arizona State University, where I worked on research studying positive emotions, humor, and coping strategies.

As a counseling intern, I strive to create a space that is welcoming, safe, and inclusive. My counseling practice is a supportive process that helps clients as they face challenges relating to trauma, anxiety, depression, identity, and more. I collaborate with clients throughout their journey in a non-judgmental and affirming environment. Because counseling is a unique process for everyone, I use a mix of approaches tailored to each client’s needs.

Choosing to seek counseling can be scary, but it’s not something that you have to do alone. I hope to empower you with the tools and support to live your best life.
